Brendon Parr lost the toss & on a warm sunny day got put into bat.
A Positive start from Tivvy saw them rack up some quick runs with Jason Parr & Jerry Reed at the crease.
Jerry Reed the first to be dismissed for 36.
Jason Parr was striking the ball well & brung his century up before the drinks breaks.
Younger Brother Brendon joined the action after the drinks, but after a few big blows was dismissed caught for 24.
Jason continued to bat long bringing up his First double century in style with a 6 over the bowlers head.
A fantastic innings came to an end on for Jason 201, The highest ever score for a player at Tiverton CC.
Tivvy reached 328/6.
In reply Whimple started their innings extremely strong, their skipper Henry Gordon Lennox was hitting the ball to all parts of the ground.
The chase was very much on the cards for whimple.
Henry was very unlucky to be run out for 81 backing up at the non-strikers end.
Sam Reed was the pick of the bowlers for Tivvy picking up 3wickets in his 6 overs for just 35 runs.
Whimple batted deep & continued to make an exciting game.
D Culshaw 63no couldn’t get his team over the line falling just 11runs short of the target. Whimple ending on 317/6.
A nail biting game for both teams played in Great Spirit & certainly one that both teams will remember for some time!
